WILDLIFE & BIRD SANCTUARY

Exotic Flora And Fauna Within Nuvali

A 17-kilometer long buffer green and forest zone throughout the NUVALI development, labeled as the Wildlife and Bird Sanctuary, will be preserved and remain untouched to allow the natural habitat to flourish within the area.

A minimum of 100,000 trees will be planted within the sanctuary as part of NUVALI’s tree-planting program.

This aims to bring individuals, groups and companies closer to nature and help promote its preservation. A biking and jogging trail system can be found within the Wildlife and Bird Sanctuary, along with a gazebo and view decks to foster a greater appreciation and respect for the different types of indigenous and exotic flora and fauna within NUVALI.

The Sanctuary that you can reach through following a trail  is the place to appreciate nature’s gifts. It is specifically built for bird walkers and watchers. Aside from the viewing deck where you can read information about the bird you will see, inside are experiential exhibits so the watchers can fully immerse themselves into bird watching.

Speaking of which, there are mini man-made lagoons where you can take a rest if ever you get tired. In here too, you may observe some birds particularly the grass birds.

Bird watching is an unexplainably enjoyable outdoor recreation activity. Bird watching refers to watching birds without disrupting their normal activities within their natural habitat.

Bird watching is best conducted between 6 and 9 am and 4 and 6 pm when the birds are in the trees. In between 10 and 3 pm, when the sun is so hot, the birds are hiding.

If you are a novice, the Sanctuary is the perfect spot for you. Bring your own binoculars or birding telescopes so you can see the birds up close.

Bring your kids too. It’s a great bonding moment while also instilling the values of protecting and preserving the environment as early as possible.
